Endo-PRP – Endometrial Platelet-Rich Plasma

Endo-PRP: Nurturing the Womb for a Successful Pregnancy

Strengthening the foundation of implantation

A healthy, receptive endometrial lining is one of the most important factors in a successful pregnancy. It is the soil in which an embryo takes root — and when that lining remains thin despite hormonal support, even the best-quality embryos can struggle to implant.

Endo-PRP (Endometrial Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a gentle, regenerative therapy designed to help. Using growth factors derived from your own blood, Endo-PRP works to improve the thickness, quality, and receptivity of the uterine lining — giving embryos a better chance of finding their home.

What is Endo-PRP?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentrated preparation made from your own blood, rich in platelets, growth factors, and cytokines — the body’s natural messengers for tissue repair and regeneration.

When infused directly into the uterine cavity, these bioactive factors are believed to:

  • Stimulate tissue repair and regeneration of the endometrial lining
  • Increase vascularity, improving blood flow to the uterus
  • Enhance endometrial thickness and receptivity, creating a more welcoming environment for embryo implantation

Because Endo-PRP is autologous — made entirely from your own blood — the risk of allergic reaction or rejection is extremely low.

Who may benefit from Endo-PRP?

Endo-PRP is offered as an adjunctive treatment for women undergoing fertility care, particularly those with:

  • Persistently thin endometrium despite standard hormonal therapy
  • Poor endometrial response in previous IVF or frozen embryo transfer cycles
  • Recurrent implantation failure linked to uterine receptivity
  • Upcoming IUI, IVF, or embryo transfer cycles where lining optimisation is needed
  • A history of uterine procedures or scarring that may have affected lining quality

If a thin or unresponsive lining has been a barrier in your fertility journey, Endo-PRP may help open a new path forward.

How the Endo-PRP procedure works

The treatment is quick, minimally invasive, and does not require anaesthesia — most patients return to their normal activities the same day.

  1. Blood collection – A small amount of your blood (~10ml) is drawn through a standard venipuncture, much like a routine blood test.
  2. PRP preparation – The sample is processed in a specialised centrifuge that spins the blood at high speed, separating its components and concentrating the platelets into Platelet-Rich Plasma.
  3. Intrauterine infusion – The prepared PRP is gently introduced into the uterine cavity using a thin, flexible catheter, under sterile conditions. Some women experience mild discomfort during the infusion, similar to the sensation of an IUI procedure.
  4. Short rest and discharge – After the infusion, you’ll rest for about 15–30 minutes before discharge.
  5. Repeat infusions if needed – Depending on your response, up to four PRP infusions may be recommended at specific intervals to achieve the desired effect on the lining.

The potential benefits

Endo-PRP aims to:

  • Improve endometrial thickness to support implantation
  • Enhance uterine receptivity, helping the lining respond more effectively to embryos
  • Increase the likelihood of successful implantation and pregnancy in fertility treatments
  • Offer a biological, drug-free alternative for women who haven’t responded to standard hormonal therapy

Safety and what to expect

Endo-PRP is considered a low-risk procedure, especially because it uses your own blood. That said, full transparency matters:

  • Mild pelvic cramping during or after the procedure is possible
  • Some women may experience light vaginal spotting or discharge
  • In rare cases, infection or inflammation of the uterus can occur
  • There is no guarantee that the lining will respond to treatment, or that pregnancy will follow

Your fertility specialist will review your medical history, monitor your lining throughout the cycle, and tailor the number of infusions to your individual needs.

A gentle step that could make a meaningful difference

For women whose embryos have struggled to implant, or whose lining simply refuses to thicken with hormones alone, Endo-PRP offers something quietly powerful: a chance to use your own biology to prepare the womb for the moment it matters most.

It’s a small procedure with the potential for a meaningful impact — one more tool in a thoughtful, personalised approach to fertility care.
