Our IVF Success Rates

At Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists, our success rates are not just numbers — they are the stories of families built through world-class care, cutting-edge science, and a team that is deeply invested in every patient’s journey.

We measure success using the internationally recognised standard of Clinical Pregnancy Rate per Embryo Transfer, providing full transparency and meaningful outcomes data for every patient we serve.

Milestones That Set Us Apart

Alpha IVF holds the Malaysia Book of Records recognition for achieving a 100.00% post-warmed embryo survival rate across 13,025 consecutive embryos [from the commencement of the use of our technology till now (April 2026)] — an unprecedented achievement in the country’s reproductive medicine history.

The Alpha IVF Advantage: Piezo-ICSI

At Alpha IVF, we go beyond conventional IVF practice. We are the first and one of the very few IVF centres in Malaysia — and among a select group worldwide — to have fully adopted Piezo-ICSI as our standard technique for intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) since 2014.

What is Piezo-ICSI?

Conventional ICSI involves physically piercing the egg membrane with a sharp needle. Piezo-ICSI uses precise, high-frequency piezoelectric pulses to gently drill through the oocyte membrane — eliminating the need for cytoplasmic aspiration and dramatically reducing mechanical trauma to the egg.

The result: higher fertilisation, less egg damage, and more viable embryos for transfer — giving every patient a better start to their IVF journey.

Why Does This Matter for You?

PIEZO-ICSI gives you an additional 27% chance of having a blastocyst you can use.

For example, if conventional/standard ICSI gives you 4 usable blastocysts, PIEZO-ICSI may increase this to about 5.

Alpha IVF’s Clinical Pregnancy Rates

Clinical Pregnancy Rates by Age Group — Frozen Blastocyst Transfer (2024 Data)

As per the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC) highest international standard for fertility clinics & IVF laboratories (Australia)

Important Notes on Our Data

  • Rates are based on 2024 data from frozen blastocyst transfer (FET) cycles only. Fresh transfers are not included.
  • 9% of all embryo transfers at Alpha IVF are Frozen Embryo Transfers.
  • Individual variation: IVF outcomes vary between individuals. Not all treatment cycles will result in egg collection, embryo transfer, embryos suitable for freezing, or pregnancy.
  • Personalised interpretation: Success rates should be interpreted together with personal factors such as age, diagnosis, ovarian reserve, sperm quality, embryo quality, uterine health, and previous reproductive history.

How We Measure IVF Success

Success rate in IVF can be reported in many ways. At Alpha IVF, we believe in complete transparency. Our rates are accepted and presented or published in IVF Congresses or Medical Journals Nationally or Internationally. Our Clinical Pregnancy Rates are reported per embryo transfer — the most internationally accepted and clinically meaningful metric — so you can make informed comparisons and decisions.

Factors That Influence IVF Success

Every fertility journey is unique. Success rates are influenced by a combination of clinical, biological, and lifestyle factors. Understanding these helps set realistic expectations and allows our specialists to personalise your treatment protocol for the best possible outcome.

Patient-Related Factors

  • Maternal age — the single most significant predictor of IVF success
  • Ovarian reserve and egg quality
  • Sperm quality and male factor infertility
  • Cause and duration of infertility
  • Reproductive history (prior pregnancies, miscarriages, previous IVF cycles)
  • Endometrial receptivity and uterine health
  • Lifestyle factors — BMI, smoking, stress, and diet

Clinical & Laboratory Excellence Factors

  • Individualised ovarian stimulation protocols tailored to each patient
  • Egg yield and fertilisation quality – Alpha achieves a near 100% egg retrieval rate and over 80% fertilisation rate
  • Embryo culture conditions and blastocyst development
  • Piezo-ICSI — enabling more blastocysts you can use
  • Embryo transfer technique and precision
  • Embryo freeze–warm survival — 100.00% post-warmed embryo survival
  • Genetic screening results (PGT-A)
  • Advanced laboratory technologies: AI-assisted embryo selection, time-lapse monitoring

Why Alpha IVF Success Rates Stand Out

Behind every statistic is a system of clinical excellence refined over years of dedicated practice. Here is what drives our outcomes:

Egg Retrieval Excellence

At Alpha IVF, every step of ovarian stimulation and egg collection is carefully planned to maximise the chance of retrieving eggs safely and effectively. Through precise monitoring, optimal trigger timing, experienced clinical technique, and seamless laboratory coordination, we achieve a near 100% egg retrieval rate — giving patients the strongest possible start for fertilisation, embryo development, and embryo selection.

Piezo-ICSI — Our Standard of Fertilisation

Unlike most IVF centres in Malaysia and globally, Alpha IVF performs all ICSI procedures using the Piezo-ICSI technique. Backed by peer-reviewed research presented at international conferences (ASPIRE 2026; OGSM 2026), our data across 81,957 oocytes demonstrates a fertilisation rate of 83.1% and oocyte degeneration rate of just 3.2% — outcomes that are significantly superior to conventional ICSI, effectively giving you 27% more chances of getting a baby compared to conventional/standard ICSI.

State-of-the-Art Embryology Laboratory

Our laboratory is engineered to replicate the optimal conditions of the human body. Strict atmosphere controls, ISO-certified air quality, and cutting-edge incubation systems ensure that embryos develop in the most stable and nurturing environment possible.

AI-Powered Embryo Selection

We use AI-assisted embryo grading combined with time-lapse monitoring (EmbryoScope) to continuously observe embryo development without disturbance. This technology allows our embryologists to identify the embryos with the highest implantation potential — maximising your chances with every transfer.

Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT-A)

For patients at higher risk of chromosomal abnormalities — including those of advanced maternal age or with recurrent implantation failure — we offer PGT-A to screen embryos before transfer. This significantly reduces miscarriage rates and improves live birth outcomes.

Leading the Way in Embryo Salvage Technologies

Alpha IVF has been at the forefront of embryo salvage technologies, with published and presented work demonstrating that selected embryos and oocytes once considered unsuitable may still hold developmental potential. Through approaches such as 0PN and 1PN embryo screening, delayed-ICSI, zona pellucida-free oocyte rescue, and extended embryo culture up to Day 7, we aim to maximise every possible opportunity for our patients.

Record-Breaking Cryopreservation

Our vitrification programme has achieved a 100.0% post-warmed embryo survival rate across more than 13,025 consecutive embryos — a Malaysia Book of Records achievement. This means that every embryo entrusted to us survives the freeze-thaw process intact, giving you the best possible chance in every subsequent transfer cycle.

Implantation Optimisation

Beyond embryo quality, we address the uterine environment through ERA (Endometrial Receptivity Analysis), EMMA (Endometrial Microbiome Metagenomic Analysis), and ALICE (Analysis of Infectious Chronic Endometritis) — a comprehensive approach to maximising embryo-endometrium compatibility.
